Absolutely fantastic Vintage Mexican earrings from the 1950's! Each earring is made of sterling silver and depicts the profile of woman who has her arms wrapped around a clay colored polished bead. Sprouting from the top of her head is a curled pony tail which is secured with a sterling hair band. The pony tail also acts as the bail which attaches to a v-shaped sterling topper that hangs from the silver earring wire. The back of each is stamped "STERLING", "TAXCO", and "MEXICO" with a "3M" hallmark in the center along with the Mexican eagle hallmark with the number "3" in the middle. The unusual design is quite beautiful and the earrings look fabulous on. They would make a wonderful addition to any Mexican sterling collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs slightly more than 2 1/8" long, measures 7/8" at the widest point and has a depth of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling earrings or to the polished bead.
