Garibaldi, Hypsypops rubicundus

The Garibaldi is a symbol of Catalina Island, California where they are protected from both commercial and recreational fishing. Because of the conservation efforts, these fluorescent orange fish can be seen swimming in the water everywhere along the Catalina shoreline.  Believe it or not these electric blue and red juveniles morph into their solid orange adult coloration as they grow older!  This piece will be a perfect addition to your California home.
